It's been almost five years since Bob Saget's untimely passing in early 2022, but his wife Kelly Rizzo is still working to share his message of positivity.
In a touching social media post on Tuesday (Dec. 23), Rizzo shared her late husband's final holiday message that he had recorded back in 2021, just weeks before his death. Rizzo explained that Saget had filmed the video while they were sitting in the airport—and now, five years later, she had returned to the same spot.
"I am currently sitting in the exact same chair he was, flying home to see my family for Christmas Eve," she captioned the video. "Before we even boarded the plane, he wanted to take time to record a message of love and hope for the holidays, especially for anyone who had been having a hard time."

She continued, "It mattered so much to him to spread kindness and help ease a little pain. That was who he was. All he ever wanted to do was help people and make them laugh."
Saget's message, indeed, was one of love and hope, where he sent his thoughts to those that were alone during the holidays and encouraged others to seek connection in the new year.

"Happy holidays...Sending you guys lots of love. It's been a hard year for so many people," Saget said at he time. "So I hope you get to be with family. And if you don't, if you're alone, try to look at the positive. Binge something positive. Watch Ted Lasso again...Sending love. It's good stuff. It's what we need to do. As we go into 2022, have some love and connection with people, even if you don't agree with them."
Although Saget unexpectedly died just a few weeks later, Rizzo says she hopes fans can continue to "keep his message alive this holiday season" and for years to come.
"I know it would mean the world to him. And to me. And to his family and friends," Rizzo wrote. "Of course, we had no idea this would be Bob's final Christmas and holiday season, which makes these words mean a thousand times more...I am incredibly grateful to have these beautiful messages from him, because his spirit is still so alive."
Our thoughts are with Bob Saget's family and friends during this difficult time of the year.
