Ethan Jamieson, who appeared in the 2012 blockbuster *The Hunger Games*, has been arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in Raleigh, N.C.

A spokesman from the Raleigh Police Department told EW that on March 22, at approximately 9:52 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired.

"Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who reported that an unknown suspect riding an e-bike had fired a shot at their vehicle while they were driving," the spokesman said. "Two additional occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident. During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ethan Jamieson (27) as the individual who discharged a single gunshot in the direction of the victims' vehicle."

EW has reached out to a rep for Jamieson.

Online records further show that he was arrested March 21, 2025, and charged with resisting a public officer.

In *The Hunger Games*, the actor portrayed the boy tribute from District 4. The film, based on the 2008 book of the same name by Suzanne Collins, depicts children being forced to fight one another to the death in an annual event.

He was part of a cast that also included Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Elizabeth Banks, and Liam Hemsworth.

Jamieson's acting credits also include a 2009 episode of *One Tree Hill,* a 2010 TV movie called *The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16*, and a 2013 turn on TV's *Justified*, where he played Milo Truth.

In a 2012 interview with Pennsylvania outlet LancasterOnline, then 13-year-old Jamieson was described as a middle school hockey player and son of a former resident whose family had moved to Raleigh.

"I knew that the books were popular, but I didn't know that the movie was going to be so big," he said.

Jamieson had read the books ahead of filming and described the red carpet premiere as "pretty awesome."

The movie was phenomenally successful, spawning several other films, including the upcoming prequel, *The Hunger Games:* *Sunrise on the Reaping*. Lawrence is set to reprise her role as heroine Katniss Everdeen, while Hutcherson will return to the role of Peeta.
