Michael Che slammed a fan who suggested an idea to do a Saturday Night Live sketch about Epstein Island. The fan initially challenged the sketch show to dare to tackle this controversial topic, featuring children and powerful public figures. Disgusted by the idea, Che immediately took to his social media story to question the fan, asking if he truly finds such topics funny and thinks the audience would laugh at such sensitive subjects. He also reflected on the criticism SNL gets for not touching upon certain controversial topics.

Michael Che slams fan’s request over Epstein island sketch

During Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update,” Che shared a screenshot of a fan’s controversial suggestion in his Instagram DMs. In the texts, the fan wrote, “if SNL had b*lls they’d do an Epstein island sketch like it was a joke but just have to be reality and have Trump and Elon, etc., etc., partying with actual children.” They further suggested an instance they could portray in the sketch where Musk tries to explain electric cars to a 5th grader over cocktails.

Taking to Instagram, Che gave a befitting response to the fan’s controversial request. He wrote, “Oh word? That’d be funny to you..? Pedo reenactments with actual kids…you think the audience would be laughing at that..?” In another story, he said he has a tough time understanding what the comedy audience is all about nowadays.

He further wrote, “I get so much snl criticism that starts with ‘if yall had any balls.’ Nah, we do. We just air on Channel 4, you muppet.” He further shared comments on ICE, wondering whether they get the message on similar levels. “I wonder if ice t gets messages like “show penetrations on svu, cowards.” Although Che deleted the stories later, they still remained and were widely circulated on the internet.
